The authors describe the rising stillbirth rates related to congenital syphilis in the United States from 2016-2022. They found that 1 in 20 pregnancies involving congenital syphilis resulted in stillbirth, and they warn of increases in the overall stillbirth rate nationally if the prevalence of congenital syphilis continues to rise.
